"Hope For Children" World Carnival Day Manila, Philippines 28th May 2011!

“Come rain or high water, nothing can stop the work of the Lord.”

Indeed the work of the Lord, through FusionExcel’s "Hope for Children" World Carnival Day 2011, continued on May 28 in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, even with some flooding at the original venue because of rains brought about by a typhoon. But, with the flooding crisis superbly handled both by PD Pastor Art Medina and Pastor Rowel Abanto, who respectively served as Project Adviser and Project Director, the FE Hope for Children World Carnival Day Event was quickly moved to higher grounds in an indoor covered court nearby. Thus, the day of festivities for more than 1,500 kids, aged 5 – 10 years old, was saved! Praise God indeed!

In the new venue, and with a bit of the program modified, all 1,500 kids and their adult leaders were treated to lunch, an afternoon snack, cotton candy, sweetened taho (soya bean curd), and ice cream. In addition, a specially-made T-shirt for the event, "Hope for Children" dolls, as well as hardbound books on science, math, social studies and reading were given as gifts of long-lasting value to each of these 1,500 children.

Just like in the previous year, to give FE's "Hope for Children" World Carnival Day an international flavor, the program started with a parade of flags of ASEAN countries. Thus organized, with each country having 150 kids, traditional Filipino fiesta games were likewise carried out to the delight and excitement of the children.

Of course, our very own FE Hope for Children Ambassador, 11-year old Clark Gamul, rendered several songs inspiring all the kids present to develop their talents and abilities as well.

For what has been billed a big success, "Thank you’s" are in order: Firstly, to FusionExcel International, for making 28th May 2011 a truly special "Hope for Children" day for 1,500 Metro Manila children. Thank you, too, to Presidential Director Pastor Art Medina for his real and inspiring leadership and guidance, to Pastor Rowel Abanto for his untiring efforts, dedication and professionalism that helped ensure the success of the event, to Pastor Steve Mirpuri for his support especially in the educational component of this project, to all the pastors, group leaders, office staff, FE Presidential Directors, EDs, Directors and distributors for their individual and collective help, to our volunteer medical and nursing staff who stayed to provide a ready hand to all in need during the day and most especially to God for whose glory and honor this is dedicated.
